Taking inspiration from the El Sistema project of Venezuela, we have created our own Programme for children that is based on using dhyaan in Raag music as a means to impact the human mind.

We work with Schools and NGOs to conduct music workshops for children in various communities. All children in that community are encouraged to be a part of the workshop because our programme is not just about teaching music, but about using music as a means to tansform the child's view of themselves, their environment, their circumstances and life itself, to alter dominant habits that may be counter-productive to their development and success. Through them we impact the lives of people around them as well.
We have invested time in creating and honing our own Ideology to create a programme structure which is customised to the Indian context and stands to positively impact lives through music, beyond the learning of a skill or an art form.

We aim to impact the following through this programme:

 

  • Revive interest in the ancient music of India

  • Expose children, from an early age to dhyaan

  • Enhanced understanding and appreciation of Indian Raag music

  • Increased levels of concentration, discipline and motivation
